I give donations to the Salvo's, St Vinnie's and The Green Shed.
Depending on what I have to donate as to where I give it, Salvo's mainly clothes, St Vinnie's will take books, games, blankets, toys. The Green Shed for the bigger items like bikes, furniture and anything that the others don't take.
As I go through and organise an area I keep a bag handy and add stuff that I can donate in it.
I then keep this bag near the front door for two reasons:
1: I can keep adding to the bag
2: If I haven't gone looking for anything in the bag then I don't need it.

This also gives me an opportunity to quickly go through my cupboards and see if there is anything that I can add to the pile.
This time I added my cot, yes I haven't used it for a few years but its sad to say goodbye to the baby years but also exciting!!

The bag usually sits there for 2-3 weeks. Sometimes less, depending if I need the stuff gone or if there isn't much there.
But if you are tempted then put it in the boot of the car and next time you go to the shops then drop off at the local donation place.
