With this being the last week of school holidays, Time to clean out the school bags ready for next week.
When they all started school I bought the bags that have the school logo on it. It is the best investment, they last and I am able to put them into the washing machine to wash and they don't break.
I did empty out the bags at the start of the holidays, as there is nothing worse then mouldy or squished food........
I will just pop the bags into the machine to wash and hang them up to dry, once dry they will then go into the locker ready for another term.

Throughout the term I tend to just pile the school work or paintings etc. in their locker....
I go through the pile every holidays or when the pile is overflowing....
What to do with it all???
If it is a painting then it goes into a box that I have to use for wrapping paper.
If it is something worth keeping, then I put it away for the end of year.
As we get a display folder with all of the kids best work from preschool/school, I just add in the work that I want to keep.
Anything else gets tossed......But if the child catches me and gets upset, I then take a photo of whatever it is, so then you have a copy of it forever.
It is such much easier with the digital & phone cameras these days.....
I have framed the first picture that each child has painted of a person, except for one, they drew such a good picture of the entire family......which is so nice to have hanging in our dining room.
Another way of getting rid of the picture's is to give to family members....I have given to the in laws as presents.
Especially if it is a picture of that person, you can frame it all ready to go.
And the kids love seeing it up on the wall when they go over.....
