Yes, Christmas is 6 months away and birthdays in our house start in 4 months!!!
If you haven't thought about Christmas or birthdays now is the time.
With all the toy sales on and being able to keep them hidden until they are needed.
Having little ones still under 10 helps me out, they are easy to buy for.
The preteens are getting more into digital things.
To keep track of what I have bought I get a piece of paper and divide it into 6, one for each child's name and the other column is for their joint present.
As I buy a present for a child I write the present and cost down under their name.
I even do this for my niece and nephews on a separate piece of paper.
Then keep that piece of paper in a safe place.
I usually sit down in January and think about what I think each child would like and write a list.
As I see things, from the list or if I see something else, I either buy them or put on layby (if there are a few items)
By August I am about done and just have the electrical items to buy, which are better to buy closer to Christmas as the warranty's on them are usually a year.
If the toy sales aren't your thing, you can even buy a gift voucher to purchase the item you are thinking of.
Then it won't be as costly at Christmas time.
If you have a few people to buy for, then pick one person a month and buy their birthday present at the start of the month and their Christmas present at the end of the month.
Starting with the person who's birthday is first.
